200120 Dispatch Interview - Seventeen 'Ode To You' US Tour - MINGYU Cut

 

Q: (‘An Ode’) was ranked no.1 in Billboard’s Best 25 K-pop Albums in 2019. How does it feel?

MINGYU:  We’re very thankful. We do want to go to a wider and more diverse places (in our music) in the future. We want to be great artists that fans can be proud of.  We will try our best to show good music and performances.  

 

Q: You also made an appearance in FOX5’s ‘Good Day New York’.  The feeling must be different.

MINGYU: It was a wonderful and special experience. But personally, there is something I regret about. I think, if I could speak a bit more in English, I would have been able to talk/share more stories. I’ll study English when I go back to Korea. 

 

Q: Is there a special strategy that you have (for the US tour)? 

MINGYU: I think I try to communicate with the audience with the American feel and vibe as much as I could. Also, during SEVENTEEN’s performances, we try to empathize/share the stage/moment together with them and make it feel closer.
